Revive the Roxy
The stage is set, and the magic of the Roxy Theatre awaits.
Fundraising efforts have been underway for this important historical and cultural restoration of the iconic Roxy Theatre - once reopened, this site will serve as a multi-use performing arts centre and movie theatre.
A refurbished Roxy Theatre will:
Facilitate a growing regional arts scene
Provide an enhanced quality of life by expanding cultural experiences and amenities for residents, youth and visitors
Save the historic Roxy from further decay and neglect
Create a dynamic cultural hub as a catalyst for the revitalization of historic Downtown Coleman
Provide a movie theatre for Crowsnest Pass residents (and visitors)

The Roxy Under Construction
Construction activities began in May 2023, and the completion of the process will depend on ongoing donations from the public, corporations, and Federal and Provincial grants that recognize the Roxy's historical designation.
To Date:
2021: Purchase of Roxy property
2022: Designated a Provincial Historic Resource
2023: Foundation repairs and roof work
2024: Larger water line installed. Front Facade contracts are underway for front-of-building restoration.

Future Construction Work:
2025 to 2027: With a successful Push to the Finish Campaign to meet grant requirements, all interior renovations will commence in 2025, with completion and opening in the fall of 2027.
